A Blooming Summer at Treadles

Hi Everyone,

Everything is blooming around Treadles at the moment. The sunshine, the longer days and all the colour appearing around the island make this such a lovely time of year to start something new — or pick up a project you’ve been meaning to get back to. Summertime always brings a fresh burst of creativity, and the shop is full of ideas to match the season.

One of our newest arrivals is Tilda: Something Blue, a beautifully curated collection of crisp, bright blues in spots, florals and soft mono prints. It’s a wonderfully smooth, high‑quality cotton that works just as well for dressmaking as it does for quilting or home décor. If you’re planning a quilt, the Aurifil thread pairs perfectly with the range and gives a lovely, clean finish to your stitchery.

For knitters and crocheters, there’s always plenty to explore. Our shelves are stocked with cottons, wools and synthetics in a wide range of colours, along with lots of books to suit everyone from complete beginners to more experienced makers.

Whether you’re planning something light for the warmer weather or starting a project for later in the year, there’s lots to choose from.
